IMEI is a specific number of each phone given by the company to the mobile devices. This is also known as MEID number. This is understood two devices cannot have a same IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) or MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) number. This is the only tool that can be used to track the lost or stolen mobile devices. There are several ways to find the IMEI or MEID number of your phone as per your device operating system. 1. General Methods
Check Manually
Using iPhone: An iPhone user can simply see the IMEI number on the back of phone that is written at the center bottom of the device back cover.
Using Android Phone: The Android phone users can see IMEI or MEID number by removing their battery from the phone that is written on the inside of the phone under the battery.
Check on Box
The IMEI number also printed on a sticker placed on the box of each phone. You can simply check and compare the number of that box and printed on your phone that must be same.

This is the universal and easiest way to check your cell phone’s IMEI or MEID number. This way you don’t need to press the Call/Send button, as the number will appear on your screen when you press # button.
Extra Tip: You can check your mobile phone carrier through the IMEI or MEID text. GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile use to write “IMEI” and CDMA networks that included Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular use to write MEID numbers.
3. Operating System Methods
Using iPhone: if you are using an iPhone go to Settings >> General >> IMEI the number will appear on your screen.
Using Android Phone: if you are using an android device go to >> Settings >> About Phone >> Status >> IMEI the number will appear on your screen.

Useful Tips
- Keep save your IMEI or MEID number before your phone gets lost or stolen.
- In case stolen or lost of your phone go to nearest customer service center or call to the company and give the IMEI number to block your phone.
- However, if your phone don’t have IMEIs or MEDIs it means your phone is pre-paid or non-contract.
