Things to do on vacation in Las Vegas – Las Vegas Vacation: Unlimited Fun
For those who want to spend a holiday completely different from anything they’ve done before, a very interesting option is to spend a few days in Las Vegas.
The legendary Sin City is located in the desert in the state of Nevada, USA. Most likely, the first thing that comes to mind when you think or hear about Las Vegas is the pictures of the casinos. The second thing should be the famous saying “What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas” – referring, of course, to a full range of entertainments this vibrant city has. Art shows of all kinds, the spectacular scenery of themed hotels, amazing viands and spreads, nightlife and shopping… Not only professional gamblers – thousands of people with most diverse interests yearn to visit the renowned city that lies in attractively close proximity to the Grand Canyon and Hollywood.
The Strip
The alluring Las Vegas themed hotels and casinos are concentrated in perhaps the most famous street in the world: Las Vegas Boulevard, better known as The Strip. An avenue of almost 6 km long, this is the focal point of Las Vegas’s activity, where the marvellous hotels Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, MGM Grand, Luxor, and The Venetian find their home among many others.
Of course, the most eye-gluing and pocket-emptying of hundreds of these buildings are mega casinos extravagant up to absurdity in their decoration. The mere opportunity to wander around these dazzling monsters is already an unforgettable experience.
There is never a deficit of shows in The Strip: The Fountains of the Bellagio or The Sirens of the TI are two good examples of the never-ending grandiose spectacle. The list of stars performing includes Cirque du Soleil, David Copperfield and Celine Dion – among many others great names.
The Grand Canyon
Whoever goes to Las Vegas should not miss the chance to visit one of the most impressive natural wonders in the whole of the world. The rugged landscapes, undermined by the Colorado River for millions of years, present visitors with views that capture the most satiate imaginations.
From Vegas, you can comfortably reach the areas for tourist visiting or camping. The views of the Grand Canyon take either about five hours if to travel by land or about an hour of flight. Usually, local agencies offer both options; the first one is recommended if you plan to stay overnight, and the second would be ideal for a day trip.
Gambling in Las Vegas
When people think of gambling, they automatically relate it to Vegas and it’s extremely easy to see why. All those stunning casinos notwithstanding, gambling in the Sin City is not the best option. In contrast to online video slots at gambling houses in Vegas do not offer a free-of-charge opportunity to play. It’s a trite to say that slot machines in Vegas have long become things to stare at rather than real tools for winning money.
In terms of popularity, Las Vegas continues to be thought one of the best vacation destinations in the US. Of course, most people coming to the city are looking forward to unknown and exciting experiences. And for all those amenities of Vegas, gambling here is not such an attraction at all!
